Making a Purchase

We aim to deliver goods of the highest quality. Every effort is made to display only items that are in stock or which can be dispatched to you quickly or direct from the manufacturer. From time to time we may be unable to meet our usual delivery times due to certain items being unavailable, in which case we will advise you immediately. If this does occur, you will be given the opportunity to 1) order an alternative, 2) have the products sent as soon as they become available or 3) to cancel the order.
All prices quoted are in British pounds sterling. We make every effort to ensure the prices are accurate, however changes beyond our control do occasionally occur. If this happens we will contact you before shipping your order to gain your agreement to the revised price or to amend or cancel the order.

Orders are accepted at the sole discretion of the Self Sufficiency Shop and are subject to your payment being authorized by Paypal or Google. All transactions are conducted through a secure web server. You should receive a confirmation email within 24 hours of your order being placed. This will include your order number, our contact details, a full list of the products you have ordered and all costs. Please let us know if this doesn’t arrive

We are happy to accept cheques although we have a policy of waiting for the funds to clear before we will send any items. Cheques should be made payable to “The Self Sufficiency Shop”.

Every effort is taken to ensure that the information contained in this web site is correct and up to date. However, The Self Sufficiency Shop disclaims all warranties and representations as to the accuracy of any information contained if at any time it becomes inadvertently out of date or incomplete. The Self Sufficiency Shop cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage that may arise from the use of this information.

Delivery Schedule

We have tried to indicate the expected delivery times on each of the our products, typically this is stated as between 3-5 days, this refers to working days. Often the item will arrive sooner than that but at peak times there may be unavoidable delays. Monday to Friday aim to ship within one day of receiving an order and orders received before 11am are usually dispatched same day. Orders placed after 11am on Friday, any time on Saturday or Sunday are not packed until Monday at the earliest.

Postage costs quoted are for the UK with the exceptions of the channel islands, Northern Ireland and the Scottish Highlands. If you wish us to send any product to these areas please email for an accurate quote. Also If you require delivery quicker than we have indicated please email us for a quote.

Returns Policy

We want you to be 100% satisfied with your order. So if you are unhappy with your goods for any reason, you can return any item in its original condition, within 14 days of receipt for a replacement or a full refund.

You also have the right to cancel your order within 14 working days without giving a reason and return the goods to The Self Sufficiency Shop for a full refund. Any refunds will be made within 30 days of cancellation. Your statutory rights are not affected.

Complaints Procedure

We endeavour to respond to any complaints within three working days. Please email us at mail@selfsufficiencyshop.co.uk

If for any reason we cannot resolve your complaint immediately we will advise you on how long we expect it will take and keep you fully informed throughout the process.

Privacy Policy

The Self Sufficiency Shop is committed to protecting your privacy online. Names, addresses and email addresses are collected for order deliveries and from those wishing to join our mailing list. We will only use the information that we collect about you lawfully and in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998
We collect information about you for two reasons. To process your order and to provide you with the best possible service. We will not disclose this information to any third parties without your written consent except for necessary delivery details in the case of suppliers who ship product directly to you. In the unlikely event we need to transfer your information outside the EEA (European Economic Area) we will always obtain your consent first.
The information we will collect about you is only that supplied during the process of ordering from us whether by phone or website and online payments are handled by either Paypal or Google’s shopping cart so at no point do we have access to your credit or debit card details.
